State Covid Update for Golf

UPDATED STATEWIDE FACE-COVERING MANDATE

(Update from Governor Baker's Administration 11/2/20; Effective on 11/6/20)

The Governor and his Administration updated the state’s face-covering mandate, requiring anyone over 5 years old to wear a face-covering in public regardless of their distance from others. This includes both public and private golf courses and facilities. Please use this alert to prepare for rounds being played at your facility this weekend and continue to keep everyone safe.

NOTE: Once the Golf Guidance on Mass.gov is updated we will share the exact language with our Mass Golf Member Club contacts. Please continue to check the links below for any and all updated information in the coming days.

Other Important Updates

  • Golf Facilities (including restaurants, gyms and fitness centers) must close between the hours of 9:30 PM - 5:00 AM
  • Gatherings: The limit on gatherings held in public spaces and at event venues (e.g. wedding venues) remains the same. The new order also requires that all gatherings (regardless of size or location) must end and disperse by 9:30 PM.
